Jonathan Makes His Own Demands: Gives Condition for Peace

Jonathan Makes His Own Demands
It appears that President Goodluck Jonathan was jolted by the harsh criticism he got from one of his die-hard men and supporter of his second term ambition, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, recently.

Asari has condemned the manner in which President Jonathan was handling the PDP crisis with kid gloves, as he called on him to be a real Ijaw man and call the bluff of all "dissidents" trying to denying him his right, one that is constitutional, to remain the president come 2015.

After consultations, President Jonathan has given his own conditions too:
We observed that Jonathan, speaking through his adviser on Political Matters, Dr Ahmed Gulak, insisted that he will not succumb to any "unreasonable terms" from those who are after his job.

Reacting to the thorny issue of 2015 and demands of the Atiku Abubakar faction, Gulak said “The President as the leader of the party has no objection to any peace move either from inside or outside. He always encourages peace talks; he prefers solving disagreement through dialogue. He believes in peace.

“It is not true that the President is not ready to discuss with Governor Amaechi. Peace move is all inclusive, depending on reasonable and acceptable terms.”

A source told us that Jonathan is set to contest the 2015 election as PDP candidate no matter what anybody thinks. He is said to have indicated his readiness to go ahead with the ten governors said to be loyal to him, believing that he would enjoy the structures of the Old PDP in several states.

I hear Jonathan is now trying to win new "friends" that will work for him if the peace moves fail and governors in the Atiku faction decide to dump the PDP.
