Abuja Female Banker Sends Husband Packing

Monday, January 6, 2014

According to CityPeople it all started shortly after their marriage in the city’s registry in AREA 10 Garki, Abuja. Less than two weeks in the marriage, Dickson, her husband was always seen cruising her car about town with young ladies while she was busy at work.

Reports of his activities came to her hearing but she turned a deaf ear thinking it was out of jealousy as the guy is quite handsome and a suave speaker. When it became too much, Onome reportedly confronted hubby Dickson who claimed the girls were models he was trying to groom. After much pressure, Dickson quit his job as a scout for models and events manager to face contracts which he got through his wife.

However, he went back to his ways and from then on, the couple had been in and out of crisis. It came to a head about two weeks back when she decided that he had done enough damage. Once, when she went abroad to deliver the couple’s only child, before she came back Dickson had impregnated the house help who happens to be a distant cousin of hers. Onome had to find a way to take care of the girl so that the story would not become a major scandal.

In the process, people from her church were involved as much as Dickson’s own parents. The guy was said to have promised to turn a new leaf and indeed showed elements of remorse which made the wife to believe that he had indeed changed. Based on this, she reportedly secured a loan for him to start a small business while she restored his use of her cars which he had been forbidden from touching. About two months back, she had to travel out of Abuja for some meetings and a course in Lagos.

Given the nature of her husband’s business she allegedly asked her mother to come and help assist in taking care of her only child as the child was just recovering from a major operation. The old lady was said to have been taken aback by her son-in law’s closeness to the house help and she mentioned it to her daughter who with benefit of hindsight sent the girl packing immediately.
Two weeks after the girl was sent packing, the house help's relations came to the house to meet Dickson’s mother in law and inform her that their daughter was pregnant for Dickson. Onome, according to sources, flew back to Abuja from Lagos and went home to throw her husband’s things out of the house swearing to get him arrested and rot in jail if he ever comes near the house again.

“I have never felt inferior and will never do. All my friends are very free with me and I have never kept friends that are on the big size.

I am taller than most of them, but they are very slim girls and we like ourselves.

“If they decide to wear their bumpershorts, I will wear mine too but the only thing is that I will never wear anything without bra. I have never felt inferior and I always love myself no matter where I go.

“I am not trying to say that men run after me because I have big boobs but the truth is that big boobs is really attractive and people do appreciate it in their various ways. Most men like big boobs but those who like it normal will not fall in love with me and vice versa.

“I am very single and seriously searching. I believe that the issue of marriage is left for God to take care of, but as a human I will say that I am seriously searching for a man”.

My Husband is Responsible If I Die, Wife Of Enugu Gov Tells NHRC

Thursday, November 7, 2013

My Husband is Responsible If I Die, Wife Of Enugu Gov Tells NHRC
Wife of Enugu State Governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime, has called on the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to deliver her from her husband.
In a petition to the commission, Mrs. Clara Chime accused the governor of an abusive relationship that has led to her suffering from depression, adding that the governor has locked her up in a room and denied her access to her four-year-old son and visitors.

The petition of the governor’s wife read:

“I have been married to Governor Sullivan Chime for five years. It has been a somewhat tempestuous relationship, which has virtually irretrievably broken down in the past couple of years.
“We do not have a relationship anymore and the situation inevitably led to my nervous breakdown. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and at some point was quite suicidal.
“The strategy of my estranged husband is to subject me to the most horrific and intolerable of conditions to cause my demise but my strength and will to live has kept me alive. It is very difficult to outline everything happening to me here but I shall enumerate the major issues below:

• Not had s*xual relationship with my husband for four years;
• Deprived of all my responsibilities as a wife;
• Prevented from bonding with my four-year-old son;
• Barred me from receiving visitors, whether family or friends;
• In the last three weeks, a lady friend who visited me was stopped from seeing me and the result is now complete incarceration from the outside world;
• In effect, I am locked up in my bedroom, without access to anybody.

“I am only allowed food but no access to fresh air; I have been locked up because I demanded to leave, even without my son. Governor Chime recently revoked my land allocation; the governor is doing everything possible to break my will.
“All I want and demand is to be allowed to leave. If I have committed any crime, I request that due process should be followed. I was also recently attacked by my husband before the visitor mentioned above who is a living witness and will be prepared to testify.
“I am falsely being imprisoned and the state House of Assembly should be made (to be) aware of this.
“My husband pays a doctor to inject me with all sorts of drugs. I have the capacity to decide whether or not I need the treatment. On occasions where I had refused the medication because of the intolerable side effects, I was restrained and given it against my will. All my rights are being violated.
“I would also wish the Nigerian Medical Council be informed of the activity of this doctor who is only interested in my husband’s wishes and does not care about my suffering. Medical confidentiality is not part of this doctor’s tool.
“I have tried to leave and was pushed back by the security agents and it is clear I am unable to do so except through other intermediaries.
“My passionate plea is to be allowed to leave peacefully as I no more wish to exist under this prevailing state. In the event that I die, please note that this must have been brought about by my husband. I wish to make it categorically clear that I have no intention of taking my own life. I have completely lost trust in my estranged husband.
“The possibility of the doctor injecting me with a lethal substance must never be underestimated. I have a friend who is a good friend of the family and would collaborate a lot in the event of any mishap to me and wish not to mention the name but he would contact you ultimately.
“I am begging you to help facilitate my release and bring my suffering and ordeal to an end.”

Stella Oduah's Ex-Husband Speaks Out

Stella Oduah's Ex-Husband Speaks Out

Stella Oduah is fighting the battle of her life as tring to pull all the connections within her reach to force her way back into President Goodluck Jonathan's good book and retain her job as Minister of Aviation.

Anyway, while her kinsmen in Anambra State say they are shocked beyond words that their daughter could be caught in such mess, her ex-husband, Chief Chris Ogiemwonyi, who's a former minister of State for Works has finally break his silence. Below is how he reacted to Stella's travails:

“What concerns me about her? We have been separated and since she became minister, we have not seen. You know the time when the issue of dropping my name came up. We have not seen since then. We all read comments in the papers, everybody is listening and even the National Assembly, on the blogs; they are all full.
"But all I can tell you is that I last saw Stella in May 2011; that was when I saw her last. Since she became minister, I haven’t seen her. All I can say is that I wish her well, but there is nothing more I can say.”
You may wish to know that Stella and Mr Ogiemwonyi became friends when they were working for NNPC many years ago. While her ex-husband was a young engineer, Stella was with the account department of the oil corporation. Their friendship blossomed and they later became husband and wife.

The marriage however packed up when it became obvious that Stella was no longer respecting her husband.

Mercy Aigbe Talks About Her Husband Disgrace Saga

Mercy Aigbe Talks About Her Husband Disgrace Saga

In an interview with Punch, published today, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry got to talk about her V-Channel event incident where her husband Mr. Lanre Gentry, supposedly pummelled her after finding her in a night gown inside a hotel room.
Excerpts:

  • When you read negative reports about yourself, true or false, how do you feel?

At times, they actually get to me; I will not lie about it. I am an emotional person. Before the story about my husband and I fighting broke, I had actually not had any scandal like that. When the story broke, I was shocked and asked myself why someone would do such to a fellow human being.
The story just kept buzzing everywhere and I felt very bad. It got to me. Before then, I thought it was
all part of the job, that whatever they wrote was their business.
What pained me most about the story was that my daughter came back from school and told me that her classmates asked her if the story was true, if  her daddy and I fought. It was painful because she is a girl and someday she is going to get married. My father-in-law called me to ask me if it was true. That is why I had to do a video debunking the claims.

  • How did your husband feel when he saw it?

He felt very bad because the story also indicted him, saying that he was a wife beater. It painted him as a bad person but in all, I thank God that my husband was with me all through. He knew there was no iota of truth in the story. He also learnt that not all stories were true. That particular story actually got to me. Thank God it has passed, I am waxing stronger and my marriage is still strong.

  • Do you still have that controversial dress in your wardrobe?

After the story broke, I called my designer and said, ‘Tokunbo, that cloth you made for me, did you see the story?’ Anytime I see the dress, I have mixed feelings, I laugh and feel somehow. I have never worn it after that day; it has a story attached to it. You know the thing about these dresses once you wear them on the red carpet, that is it.

  • Can you buy a handbag for N5m?

I don’t know. I cannot say the amount I can spend on an item. I love fashion. One thing about fashion is that when you see something you like, if you don’t buy it, you’ll not have peace of mind till you get it, no matter the cost. That is the kind of person I am, and that is why I cannot say how much I can spend on an item. Most times when I see things I like and I have the money, I buy. I am working hard and making my money. If it makes me happy, why not get it? We only have a life to live. At the same time, I also know that there are people that I can reach out to and put a smile on their faces. So what I do is find a way to balance both.

  • How about the N80m mansion your husband is reportedly building in Ikeja?

I don’t want to comment on that.

  • How long does it take you to dress?

It depends on where I am going. If I am going to a party, it will take me longer. Basically, I’ll say it takes me about an hour to get dressed. The funny part of it is that if I have somewhere to go, the night before, I’ll bring out like three clothes and some shoes to choose from. So, it makes it easier for me the next morning.

  • Do you ask your husband to help you choose what to wear?

Yes, I do. Trust me, they are tired of me -my husband and my daughter. My daughter will tell me, ‘Mummy it is okay’ while my husband will say something like ‘Darling, just choose one, they all look great on you’.
