Nollywood actress, businesswoman Empress Njamah has denied saying she can never marry a poor man as quoted in an interview with
Showbizplus.
Here’s what Empress said in a new chat with Encomium:
What is your word to your colleagues, friends, family and fans who felicitated with you as you added a year?
I really appreciate all of them, especially my fans who usually send me messages. I love my fans because they know what I can do or say at anytime. Like what happened recently where I was quoted as saying I will never marry a poor man.
So, you didn’t say that?
I never said that. If you know Empress Njamah, you would tell the world, she is never a proud person. I will never say I cannot marry a poor man. I will never say a thing like that. I thank those who didn’t take the story line, hook and sinker. It almost broke me down if not for my friends.
I cannot say that because you don’t know what God has in stock for anybody. There are girls who married poor men who later became rich. Some had nothing and married a woman who eventually brought good luck to them. I didn’t say that.
What did you then say?
I said when you go to a supermarket, buy what you can afford. That is the truth.
Are you in a relationship?
I’m not in a relationship.
Why?
Relationship requires a lot. Some relationships are distractions. Because of what I do, I need to give the kids a lot of time. It is my work, the kids and my business for now. When I have groomed people to do some of the things I do for me, then I would have time for a relationship.And that should be pretty soon?

Fakorede told the court that his wife had turned him into a punching bag and also inflict injuries over his body.
“My wife wants to kill me, she beats me every day. I don’t want to die now, save my life.”
He claims his wife beats him if he asks for food or anything and laments that she has made it a routine affair.
Fashola adds that his wife doesn’t care about him any more, noting that she can be absent for several days and if he queries her, she will hit him with any dangerous weapon available.
“And my daughter is also taking her footstep. She brings home different men and my wife will not query her. So, I sent her away from my house,” he said.
The man says he doesn’t love her any more and wants a divorce.
Funke, a trader, denied the allegations, saying she did not beat her husband and always took good care of him and respected him.
The mother of three, however, accused her husband of denying his children the right to go to school.
She also added that her husband had disowned his daughter, and urged the court not to grant his wish as she still loved him.
The judge, Mr. R. I. Adeyeri, adjourned the case till November 25 for further hearing.

The man had his breasts stuffed with two gloves filled with water and nicely tucked into a brassiere. He dressed like a woman and looked so attractive since he had a big bum.
According to ‘her’ colleagues, the suspect had been in the business for a while now and they had never suspected anything. He always looked like a woman and was smartly dressed all the time.
Speaking to the media, the suspect admitted that he started dressing like a woman and practicing prostitution last year.
He claimed to be fending for his family arguing that he had looked for a job for many years to no avail.
He said that he was enjoying relations with lots of men and it was sad that he now had to stop after being discovered.

It is a good thing that opposites attract, otherwise Sultan Kosen might've had a hard time finding a woman of similar proportions to share his life with.
The world's tallest man is 2.51 metres high, which is a good two feet and seven inches taller than his new bride, Merve Dibo. The Turkish farmer was married in a ceremony at the weekend, after previously almost given up hope he'd ever find love.
He's one of only 10 people in recorded history to top the eight feet mark. And he also holds the current Guinness World Record for the largest feet and hands on the planet with a 27.5cm hands, 36.5 cm feet - a massive size 28. Kosen's gigantic wedding suit needed to be custom made, obviously. And his celebrity status in his home country meant the nuptials were a who's who of Turkey.
"Now I will have my own family and private life," he said. "How unfortunate I could not find a suitable girl of my own size. My wife is over 1.75 meters tall, but I believe I've found the person for me."
Kosen suffers from a rare disorder called pituitary gigantism, which causes his body to continually produce the growth hormone. His condition is believed to have been caused by a tumour in the pituitary gland. Doctors thought they had cured him in 2008 when they removed the tumour but he continued to grow by half an inch (1.27cm) a year. Now medics say he has finally stopped growing.

A 40 years old man was arrested for locking up his girlfriend's pants using a chastity belt for years just so that she won't cheat on him!
According to CNN, the man's abused, unidentified 25-year-old Mexican girlfriend recently had to tell cops about the abuse after she was left unable to go to the bathroom for several hours because she couldn’t unlatch the padlock on her jeans.
The agonizing pain prompted the woman — who lives in Zacatlame, a poverty-stricken community in the Mexican Gulf state of Veracruz — to go to the police.
She said she was too afraid of her 40-year-old boyfriend to grab a pair of scissors and cut the belt loop to which the lock was attached.

According to Gulf news, a Palestinian man tied this mouse up by its four limbs and posted a photograph of it on Facebook after the rodent ate some of his cash.The man said he had hidden his weekly salary in his closet but found that a mouse had eaten three of the banknotes worth a total of $170.
He then caught the mouse, strung it by each of its four limbs and posted a photograph of the rodent.

This man can never think of a better wedding gift. Everyone was taken by surprise when Governor Gabriel Suswam played the best man at a wedding that held at Our Lady Perpetual Help Cathedral, Makurdi, Benue State, over the weekend!
The groom, Peter Anyiman, is a cook, who serves Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Michael Tumba.
Playing his role as the best man, Governor Suswam took time to adjust the groom’s tie and wipe sweat from his face to the admiration of the guests who attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the wedding reception, Governor Suswam said Anyiman – who had serves Rev. father Tumba in Abuja for 18 years – had demonstrated commitment to his job, thus he deserved to be honoured. Suswam further advised people to take their jobs seriously.
Anyiman said he considered himself lucky to have the governor serve as his best man and could not have wished for a better wedding gift.

A man, identified as Sunday Ogbaide has been arrested by the Ketu Police Division after he brought two big snakes to the office of the depot chairman, Sunday Yusuf at the Ketu bus rapid transit depot in Lagos State.
According to the man, he was sent by a yet-to-be identified person to sell the snakes to the BRT boss.
Yusuf said that no one could explain how the suspect gained entrance into the depot. “I was in my office when the man presented two snakes to me. When I asked him what his mission was, he said he was sent by someone who told him that I would be interested in buying snakes. When I asked him to tell me the name of the person that sent him, he said he did not know the name of the person. I quickly raised the alarm and the security guards arrived. The man passed through three main gates before arriving at my office. No one could explain to me how he got in.”
It was gathered that people attempted to beat up the suspect for bringing the snakes but Yusuf was able to restore calm after which he called the Divisional Police Officer, Ketu, SP Justin Umar who sent some policemen to the scene to apprehend the suspects and kill the snakes.
However, on getting to the station however, the suspect said he was a truck pusher at Ketu Market. He got the snakes from Ibadan, Oyo State, and thought he could make a lot of money by selling the snakes to the BRT boss.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said the suspect would be charged to court on Thursday (today) with attempting to induce fear and wilfully endangering human life with dangerous animals.”

For Miss Nigeria, Ezinne Akudo, life as a beauty queen is all about working closely with the victims of sexual violence.
In an interview, the newly crowned damsel and graduate of law from Abia State University disclosed that her decision to work with rape victims stemmed from her experience last year after her close friend fell victim.
“It was a very touching experience for me. My very good friend was raped last year and you can only imagine the trauma she went through. That made me realise how close it could get, how vulnerable we all are. It could happen to anybody including me; rape is the trending evil right now. I was there by her side all through and I watched her pass through it all. I am happy she is okay now and has gotten over the traumatic experience."
“It’s going to be a total campaign against sexual violence in Nigeria and right now, we are at the drawing board. We are looking at talking to victims and creating awareness about sexual violence. We will be talking to parents, their kids and all stakeholders. Because of the stigma attached to rape, we are also working on an emergency help line, which will provide counseling for victims. We’ll be talking about rape and how to avoid it,” she said.
On her saddest moment:
According to Akudo, her saddest moment since she became queen was losing her close friend who died a few weeks after she was crowned. “I lost a friend of mine a while ago. He was my campus pastor. His name was Emmanuel Akibi. It affected me a great deal because we were very close. We were friends throughout my days at Abia State University (ABSU). His death was a big shock for me,” she lamented.
Her love life:
Beauty queens are not expected to talk about their love lives on the pages of newspapers. However, Akudo painted a picture of her ideal man. “I have not lost any of my friends because of my new crown, but I want to keep issues about my love life private. I love a guy that’s passionate about serving God. Any guy that doesn’t really love God can’t love a lady. I am impressed about guys who are God fearing. I am not a fan of very fair guys. I’m down with chocolate skinned guys,” she concludes with a soft laugh.
